Susan's Gardens Etc.

Design • Create • Build

Susan's Gardens Etc. has been creating gardens and landscapes on the Main Line for over 30 years. We bring a passion for plants, ecology, and design to every project, from container gardens and intimate courtyard spaces to large estates. We design, install, and manage gardens and landscapes, with a dedication to working with the specific ecology of every site to create landscapes that inspire and enhance our lives by being beautiful, productive and sustainable.

Susan Geyelin

Susan’s Gardens, Etc. was started by Susan Geyelin, who came into the field of horticulture and landscape design after an early career in real estate.  After her children started school, her love of gardening and the outdoors led her to Temple University Ambler where she studied horticulture.  As her business grew, she continued her education through classes at Longwood Gardens and Morris Arboretum.  Still her passion, Susan is out in the field every day, working alongside her team, as well as meeting with clients and managing the day to day operations.

Elise Geyelin,   rla

Elise Geyelin, Susan’s daughter, is a landscape architect and works with Susan as lead designer, and senior project manager.  After graduating with an English and Studio Art degree from the University of Virginia, Elise returned to work with her mother and expand the business.  While doing that she studied Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, also at Temple Ambler.  After completing the landscape architecture degree program at Temple, she left the business to expand her expertise working at OLIN, in Philadelphia, where she had the opportunity to work with an incredibly talented group of professionals on a variety of large scale projects.  Like Susan, her passion for plants and the natural landscape ultimately drew her back to Susan's Gardens, where she enjoys working with clients to realize their vision, and enhance the beauty, ecology and sustainability of their landscapes.
